Day Trips
Enjoy the drive up the ‘Sma’ Glen to Aberfeldy. Walk The Birks of Aberfeldy as popularised in a song by Robert Burns. Drive onto Pitlochry or The Hermitage, Dunkeld or Kenmore.
Drive down the A9 to Doune, visit the Scottish Antiques & Arts Centre. Carry on to Callander and the Trossachs. Head back along the side of Loch Earn.
There are many more options – Edinburgh, Glasgow, Loch Lomond, Loch Katrine, Aviemore, Inverness, Oban, St Andrews.
Local Attractions
Cycle at Comrie Croft, water sports at Loch Earn and Willowgate in Perth, climb Turleum or Ben Vorlich, simply enjoy Lady Mary’s Walk in Crieff or visit Drummond Castle Gardens. Serious golfers could golf at Gleneagles and families can enjoy a lovely nine hole pitch and putt just a few miles away. Auchingarrich and MacRosty Park will entertain the wee ones.

In Crieff, Yanns is a very good French restaurant. Craobh in the Square is also very good specialising in Scottish produce.
Delivino is a very popular Italian deli restaurant and The Meadow Inn serves good pub food..
We have The Steading Cafe within walking distance and the Auchingarrich Cafe has great views.

The cottage is located 16 miles from the Gleneagles Golf Courses. A little over an hour’s drive takes you to St Andrews.
There is a good golf course in Crieff – Crieff Golf Club. There are also courses close by in Muthill, Comrie, Auchterarder and Dublane.
For the family, a nine hole pitch and putt at Foulford is ideal for youngsters.
A local core path network known as The Bantry links the cottage and farm into Crieff.
There are many walks around Crieff – the Knock, Lady Marys, Glenturret Resevoir, walks along the River Earn. In Comrie, there is the Deil’s Cauldron walk.
As gateway to the Highlands, hill walking and munros are easily accessible from Crieff.
Mountain Biking is available only a few miles away at Comrie Croft.
Throughout Perthshire and Scotland you will find some of the best singletrack in the world.
River and Loch Trout fishing available locally.
